We visited this place only to attend track camp for my 10-year-olds. There is ample parking. On the ground there is a tennis court, and a playground that you do not have to pay to use. The playground is very nice, however it is not shaded. Want a nice day, I would definitely visit the playground if I was in the area. Inside it seems very nice. The only place I saw were the restrooms and the gym. Things looked up-to-date and clean.
The North Laurel Community Center is one of Howard County's community centers, built to serve the southeastern portion of the county. The facility is shared by the Departments of Recreation & Parks and Health, Howard County Police, and the Office on Aging and Independence. Features include a fitness room, game room, dance and aerobics room, double gymnasium, pre-school classrooms, multi-purpose rooms, senior activity room, and more.
Amenities: fitness room, multi-purpose rooms, dance room, gymnasium, game room, Police Community Resource Office, Community Health Office, Infants & Children (WIC) office, playground, and more. Community Center is located within the North Laurel Park, adjacent to the North Laurel Skate Park.
My family and I visited here in hopes of getting a membership. The Assistant Director stared at us so hard as if we had no place to be there. It was very uncomfortable!!! He did not want us to tour the facility, he made excuses about amenities they did not have. He told us the basketball court is not open to the public, we never asked him anything about basketball. His demeanor is HORRIBLE!! I’m shocked that Howard County would have this person representing their facility. I don’t know if he is like this with everyone or just people of color. He needs diversity training and learn customer service skills. We took our business elsewhere because of his unwelcoming attitude.

Best community center around! I am a regular here for business and personal. I’ve been holding my “HOMEOWNERSIP” home buyer workshops here since 2018, but I’ve been coming here long before then to take my son to the playground and trails. A wonderful facility run by a great staff. Clean and perfect for all occasions!
Great place. Locker room and. Vending machines keep it from being 5 stars
Came here for the first time for a karate tournament. All the facilities including bathrooms was very clean and had a friendly person at the desk to greet folks coming in.
Love this place with their little trails. They have skate park, playground, and other services to help the community.
